“It may be that when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work and when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey..." -Wendell Berry

My Therapeutic Approach

I am a licensed clinical social worker and therapist who is deeply interested in the ways our individual and collective paths are formed and traveled. My work has been guided by an unwavering curiosity for the resiliency of the human spirit and the ways people find healing and meaning at various junctures in their lives. As a therapist, my goal is to partner with you on your journey of self-exploration and to support you in identifying the obstacles, negative beliefs, and wounds that may keep you feeling stuck or symptomatic. I see my role as ally more than expert. I believe that having our experiences witnessed and mirrored is an essential part of both personal and collective healing so needed on this planet. The stories we tell about ourselves matter. How we orient and respond to our own suffering—and the suffering of others—matters. I will work alongside you to create new stories and to change patterns that are no longer serving. I am continually inspired by the capacity people have to grow, heal, and reconnect with themselves when they are met with compassion and understanding. In my practice, I bring warmth, presence, and genuine curiosity to the therapeutic relationship. I see therapy as a collaborative process where we work together to understand your experiences, habits, relational challenges, and the different parts of you that may be asking for attention or care. Being human is to experience extraordinary wonder and incredible heartache. I work primarily with adolescents and adults in the areas of anxiety, grief, life transitions, and family challenges. My work is grounded in attachment theory, parts work, and here and now mindfulness-based approaches.

About Me

I believe that meeting our authentic self is an essential part of what we are all here to do. It has been the honor of my life to witness the grief, growth, and resilience inherent to the human experience. One of the greatest gifts of this work is witnessing the ways people heal and rediscover their inherent wholeness in the face of adversity and suffering. Again and again, I am reminded of the capacity and innate wisdom that lives within each of us. To witness others’ stories and the journey of reconnection with Self is a privilege I hold with great gratitude and humility. My own journey of being unraveled by grief has allowed me to more compassionately understand how wildly surprising and uncomfortable and devastating life can be. And I have learned that when we are supported and witnessed through the painful times, they can rearrange us in the most beautiful ways. I am currently living in Ashland, Oregon raising two delightfully energetic boys, ages 9 and 11 with my fabulous co-parent. I place high value on presence, play and curiosity.

What Lights Me Up

Sinking my fingertips into the garden after a fresh spring rain, witnessing my little ones squeal in delight, hopping creek boulders with olympic speed, listening to the flutter of a hummingbird, immersing in the mountains, marveling at the inexplicable magic of synchronicity, and being suspended in the state of wild wonder.
